Here is a look at which movies were slaughtered, which movies put up a good fight, and which heartbreak movie just missed the mark in the end. We'll do one more elimination round (in the item linked below the results). Included in the survey is a place for your comments on the toughest matchup. Next month I'll feature some of the more lively movie vs. movie debate. In the final round, you'll get to sort the best eight movies into whatever order you want. Don't forget to leave comments!  Romantic Tip of the Day: I was driving past a place which had 'candlelight' in its name. My friend joked that it was because they couldn't afford to pay their electric bill!  Of course we all like to be smart-alecky these days, but it occurred to me that it goes both ways. Instead of a comedic moment, look for a romantic opportunity. For example, if the power goes out during a storm: "Well, honey, it looks like you'll get that candlelit dinner you've been wanting."  Keep your eyes peeled, my friends.

I like how the questions were so creatively worded--much more interesting than just picking one or the other. patrickstar: Just a quick suggestion, although I took this survey a while ago... Are you going to follow up the Romantic Movies Showdown with a Romantic Books Showdown? angelvixxen: What a great idea for a survey! I love it! Some of these were really tough choices for me. I'm a relentlessly hopeful romantic. I went back and changed some of my answers several times. Just couldn't seem to make up my mind. I'm glad to see a mix of old and new included. I wish I hadn't missed the first two. Wonderful job! leann: I really like this survey because it makes me go back to all of the movies that I have watched and remember which I liked the most. I would like to see more of these surveys with other topics. mousybrown: Lexi, you have done it again! Thanks for continuing to create such fun and interesting newsletters! lazarus: It was a very interesting and thought provoking survey. I cannot wait to see the results of it all in the romance newsletter. I was wondering the entire time I was filling this survey out if this is some kind of psychological survey where your answers tell you a little about yourself and what type of romantic you may be. Nope, Lazarus, there's no ulterior motive other than the mental stimulation evoked by the inevitable debate. wineska: WOW! I really enjoyed filling this survey, it was really fun to read, and also very interesting. It made me think a lot of the answers twice before submiting my choice! You got great questions there anto: A very interesting survey! I enjoyed answering the questions. Perhaps in the future we can think of a competition with questions that don't give away the titles of the film. Nelly, sounds a bit like trivia I'm game if you are seriously considering it! ~Lexi kenzie: Whew, this survey about romance movies was even harder than the first. I can't wait to see what comes of this one! Remembering movies has always been something I've had a problem with, sometimes even as I drive home from seeing one. I've always wondered why that was. You've made me search my memory. Thanks! megsie2584: Hey Lexi, Somehow I skipped over reading last month's edition... and your results in this issue had me interested. I looked for the first survey so I could find out which movie had the top votes (which you hinted was the animated one) but I couldn't find it. So... who won?
